And so … our sojourn to the beautiful hill station of Ooty has already come to a close. The guys and I arrived back here in Manipal late Sunday night. It took me all of yesterday to recover from the travelling around.
Ooty, short for Ootacamund, is a popular hill station located in the Nilgiri Hills in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It stands at an approximate height of 7,440 feet (2,268 m) above sea level. The landscape is marked by rolling hills and plateaus covered with dense vegetation, tea gardens, and eucalyptus trees. The place is just amazing. I took a ton of pictures, all with my N82.
Along the way I picked up a fun souvenir from our trip. A crazy lion-thingy statue. I was totally charmed by the beauty in Ooty. Its really a pretty calm, beautiful little town. We had a blast.
But now I'm home again … I get to enjoy the week here in Manipal until I travel to Kerala this weekend for another trip. Maybe. Not 100% sure if I'll be upto it though.
Do feel free to check out the albums. All pictures were taken with a Nokia N82 :
